Bulgaria’s utilities regulator approved a 2% increase in the regulated gas price in the country in April. According to Bulgarian media, the new price is set at BGN 58.84 per MWh, excluding transportation costs, excise taxes and value added tax.
The Energy and Water Resources Regulatory Commission (EWRC) did not disclose the reason for the price increase after a three-month decline and stated that they consider price trends in international gas markets.
In addition, it was noted that in April this year, Azerbaijani gas will account for 51.1% of Bulgaria’s domestic consumption.
