PSD Manager:
The Product and Service Delivery Manager is responsible for directing field employees in safe, reliable, and efficient product and service delivery, and for driving customer satisfaction and service quality. The Service Line PSD Manager drives field employee progression through competency development and performance evaluation. This person is leading the job life cycle support and technical and incident management. The Service Line PSD Manager ensures systematic usage of standard work and risk management, and provides visibility regarding crew and associated function’s Service Quality performance and improvement opportunities. This person is responsible for the resources managment and implementation of best practices and appropiate procedures are followed to ensure optimun service quality. Works in client’s office, at the yard or operational base and in the offshore installations under the direction of the client representative externally and internally to a Schlumberger Operations manager. He or she is responsible for working closely with the client to apply the appropriate techniques , ensure equipment is ready for the cementing and pumping operations, personnel is continuosly trained and competente to benefit the service quality and ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with the best practices recognized in the oilfield industry to esnure the jobs are conducted safely and to benefit both the client and Schlumberger by offering specific solutions to their client’s problems. A PSD Manager is responsible for direct supervision of other field supevisors and engineers, be the primary liaison between the client and Schlumberger, becoming the primary representative for Schlumberger. Work with client on designs and evaluations. Enlist the appropriate technical support when necessary. Identify and implement process improvements and re-engineering with client and Schlumberger field personnel. Become generally knowledgeable on Schlumberger product lines outside of Schlumberger. Identify, coordinate and implement additional Schlumberger services and additional Schlumberger product lines based on client needs. Analyze, design, develop, maintain products and assist in their commercialization – in agreement with project technical and timing objectives. Apply procedures and principles as defined at the project or product-line level or through customer input. May present solutions to clients. Provide timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues. Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other artifacts. Ensure commitments are agreed, reviewed and met. May assign, direct and review work of technicians and provide guidance to engineers. Mentor junior engineers regarding technical and operational matters. Continuosly evalutes risks to produce and iterate the development plans. Provide training and support to clients and field representatives. Make presentations effectively to technical and management audiences. Learn new skills and adopt new practices readily in order to develop innovative and low-cost products that maintain Schlumberger’s technical leadership position. Maintain familiarity with Company technology, organization and business. Understand and provide service quality assurance according to the Schlumberger strategy.
