LUKOIL has started the construction of a solar power plant in Kazakhstan, laying a commemorative capsule in the Almaty region.
The project will provide energy supply to the production facilities of LUKOIL Lubricants Central Asia LLP (a 100% subsidiary of PJSC LUKOIL) with environmentally friendly solar energy, the company reports.
The design capacity of the power plant is 4.95 MW. The construction of the first 2 MW stage is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
The installed capacity of LUKOIL’s generating equipment at 8 SES located in Russia and abroad is 44 MW.
