Electricity production in Azerbaijan in January-April 2021 compared to the same period last year increased by 1.3% – up to 8 billion 383 million kWh.
According to the monthly report of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the volume of commercial electricity production in the reporting period amounted to 8,123.8 million kWh (an increase of 1.4%).
In January-April 2021, TPPs in Azerbaijan produced 7 billion 652.4 million kWh (an increase of 0.3%), at hydroelectric power plants (HPPs), the generation amounted to 427.7 million kWh (an increase of 28, one %).
In the reporting period, wind power plants generated 29.9 million kWh (down 11%), solar – 13.8 million kWh (an increase of 7.8%).
Electricity production in Azerbaijan by the end of 2020 compared to 2019 decreased by 1.1% – to 25 billion 811.2 million kWh.
