Main responsibilities:
Quality Assurance
- Management of Quality Assurance and Quality control related projects to meet company/customer contractual requirements
- Oversee the QA processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
- Address customer complaints and issues related to quality
Customer Focus
- Oversee the promotion of awareness of customer requirements
- Management of any customer requirements in the collating and reporting of Quality specific KPI’s
- Provide Quality Leadership to the overall Project Team
- Oversee the day-to-day activities carried out by the QA / QC resources assigned to the project
Supplier Quality Management
- Carry out external vendor audit and evaluation using a risk-based approach on criticality of the provision of product and people and any commercial implications
- Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance
- Maintain supplier quality standards and agreements
Audits and Incident Investigation
- Lead Quality Investigations, ensuring that methods of investigation and reporting appropriate to the incident are utilised; ensure that lessons are established and learned and that all personnel benefit from these lessons
- Development and management of project related internal and external audit programme
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality procedures, audits, and inspections
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management
- Ensure traceability of quality records and documentation
Engagement and Collaboration
- Develop Quality Initiatives to ensure widespread acceptance and adoption of best practice.
- Liaise with all PD&MS personnel, both onshore and offshore, and provide advice, guidance and support on all aspects and matters concerning Quality Management
- Ensure all new project personnel receive a project Quality induction which includes navigation of the company and customer IMS
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality standards are integrated into all processes
Continuous Improvement
- Analyse quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience with the following:
- A degree in a relevant subject – Preferred
- HND or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
- Lead Auditor (IRCA) certificate to one of the recognised standards.
- Significant demonstrable experience in a similar position.
- Detailed working knowledge for QA/QC related ISO standards
- Developed technical knowledge and understanding of execution methodology
- Understanding of contractual, commercial and cost issues.
- Demonstrable experience in conducting audits, investigations and root cause analysis.
- Competent in the use of MS Office applications
- Demonstrable experience in the preparation, development and delivery of Quality assurance training
- Demonstrable experience in risk management
- Experience in managing and developing others
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent written and spoken English
