A joint venture between transmission system operators of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary within the framework of the Caspian–Black Sea–Europe green energy corridor (Black Sea Energy project) will be established in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
Relevant agreement on this was reached on May 15 at the VII Ministerial meeting in Tbilisi dedicated to the implementation of the “Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the field of development and transfer of green energy between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary and Romania.”
An agreement was reached on the imminent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the participants of the joint venture. Bulgaria’s intention to participate in the joint venture was welcomed at the meeting.
The next ministerial meeting will be held in July in Bucharest.
