The export of gas volumes declared at customs from Azerbaijan in January-August 2023 amounted to 17 billion 391 million 448.11 thousand cubic meters, by 15.5% higher than in 8 months of 2022.
Gas supplies accounted for 42.92% of Azerbaijan’s total exports during the reporting period (in January-August 2022 – 39.31%), the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The value of the export of declared gas from Azerbaijan amounted to $10 billion 452 million 178.82 thousand (an increase of 1.3%).
Over 8 months of this year, Azerbaijan sold its every 1,000 cubic meters of gas on the foreign markets at an average price of $600.99, the statistics of the State Customs Committee. It should be noted that the Customs Committee keeps statistics on exports based on the declaration.
The declaration on the sold gas is provided after the actual sale, and not at the time of its pumping through pipelines.
