In January-April 2023, Azerbaijani gas supplies to Italy exceeded 3 bcm, the head of the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, Parviz Shahbazov, wrote on Twitter.
He noted that the deliveries were conducted via the TAP gas pipeline.
In 2022, gas supplies to Italy via TAP, amounted to 10.325 bcm (+43.1% of the indicator of 2021), the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security of Italy.
According to Eurostat, last year Italy spent 13.253 billion euros for imported gas from Azerbaijan (an increase by 3.9 times).
