The EU countries through the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP) have received (since December 31, 2020) a total of over 22 bcm of gas from Azerbaijan, said Luca Schieppati, managing director of the pipeline company TAP AG.
“We have transported more than 22 bcm of Azerbaijani gas to Europe and developed commercial solutions to increase TAP’s short-term capacity,” Shippaty said at the European Gas Conference.
Azerbaijan sold 10.7 mcm of gas in European markets in 2020, 8.15 bcm in 2021, and 11.4 bcm in 2022.
Azerbaijan currently supplies gas to the following countries in Europe: Greece, Italy, Bulgaria and Romania.
