Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Iranian Oil Minister Javad Ouji signed a memorandum of understanding in Baku on Friday, according to which gas supplies from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan through Iran will double, the Iranian state news agency IRNA reported.
According to the trilateral agreement between Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan signed in Ashgabat on November 28, 2021, gas supplies from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan through Iran began in January 2022.
In accordance with the agreements reached, the annual volume of swap gas supplies was planned at the level of 1.5 bcm.
