Iran, with the participation of Russia, Turkmenistan, and Qatar, seeks to create a gas hub in the Asaluye industrial area in the southern Iranian province of Bushehr, located on the Persian Gulf coast, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oudji said.
“The Islamic Republic, with 33 trillion cubic meters of recoverable gas reserves, ranks second in the world in terms of reserves of this resource, seeks, with the assistance of Russia, Turkmenistan and Qatar, to turn the Persian Gulf and Asaluye into a gas hub,” the ISNA news agency quotes the minister as saying.
The Minister did not announce the details of the project, noting only that the necessary preparations and planning are being carried out now.
