Gazprom expects the maximum financial result in the entire history of the company by the end of 2021, said Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Board of Gazprom. His words are quoted in the company’s Telegram channel.
“This means that dividends will also be absolutely record-breaking – both for Gazprom and among all Russian public companies,” he said.
In total, in 2021 Gazprom produced 514.8 bcm of gas, which was the best result over the past 13 years. According to Miller, the increase in production of the Russian company covered the lion’s share of the growth in global gas consumption in 2021.
The company exported 185.1 bcm to non-CIS countries. m of gas, by 5.8 bcm more than in 2020. In 2021, the purchase of Russian gas was increased by 15 countries, with the largest growth provided by Germany (+ 10.5%), Turkey (+ 63%) and Italy (+ 20.3%), the head of Gazprom said.
