The Azerbaijani government forecasts for 2022 the production of motor gasoline at the level of 1 million 238.6 thousand tons, diesel – 2 million 255.6 thousand tons.
According to government forecasts, in 2023 gasoline production will increase to 1 million 346.6 thousand tons, in 2024 – up to 1 million 460.7 thousand tons, in 2025 – up to 1 million 463 thousand tons.
According to forecasts, the volume of diesel fuel production in 2023 will amount to 2 million 437.8 thousand tons, in 2024 – 2 million 452.1 thousand tons, in 2025 – 2 million 457 thousand tons.
In 2020, the production of motor gasoline amounted to 1 million 166.7 thousand tons (an increase of 0.5%), diesel fuel – 2 million 68.6 thousand tons (a decline of 0.6%).
At present, the Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev (structure of SOCAR) is engaged in the production of automotive fuel in Azerbaijan.
