The production of gas condensate in Azerbaijan in January-September 2021 amounted to 3 million 991.7 thousand tons, which is 28.7% higher than the same period last year.
According to the report of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the share of commercial products in the reporting period amounted to 3 million 977.8 thousand tons (an increase of 29.5%).
In the total volume of oil production in Azerbaijan, the share of condensate in January-September 2021 accounted for 15.4%, the remaining 84.6% or 21 million 876.3 thousand tons were oil (a decrease of 4.9%).
In the volume of oil production, the share of marketable products amounted to 21 million 842.7 thousand tons (a decrease of 4.7%).
The production of gas condensate in Azerbaijan in 2020 amounted to 4 million 220.3 thousand tons (an increase of 7.9%), oil – 30 million 365.1 thousand tons (a decline of 9.6%).
The main share of gas condensate produced in Azerbaijan is provided by the Shah Deniz field, from which these products are fully exported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. The growth in condensate production is associated with a gradual increase in gas production within the Shah Deniz-2 project.
