The volume of Azerbaijani gas supplies through the TANAP pipeline in 2021 is expected at 12.2 billion cubic meters, said the General Director of the TANAP consortium Saltuk Duzyol
“TANAP is in full readiness to supply Azerbaijani gas to Europe. With the start of commercial supplies of Azerbaijani gas to Europe in 2021, Turkey, in general, will receive 12.2 bcm of gas via TANAP,” Duzyol told Turkish media outlets.
According to him, in 2022, “we are aimed at making the gas pipeline work at full capacity – 16 billion cubic meters per year”.
Since the commissioning of TANAP (June 30, 2018) and up to now, 7.5 bcm of Azerbaijani gas has been supplied through it, Duzyol said.
TANAP’s throughput capacity is 16 bcm of gas per year, but due to the installation of additional compressors, it can increase to 31 bcm per year.
He also said that if TANAP is operating at full capacity, revenues from gas supplies via this pipeline will exceed $ 1.5 billion per year. Of this amount, the Turkish company BOTAS will account for 30% of all revenues, or more than $ 500 mln.
Actual costs of the TANAP gas pipeline construction project amounted to $ 6.5 billion.
