Natural gas production in Azerbaijan in 2020 will exceed 38 billion cubic meters, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said.
“This year, gas production in Azerbaijan will exceed 38 billion cubic meters. In 2022, this figure will be about 45 billion cubic meters,” Shahbazov said at the international conference Global Energy and International Political Risks.
Note that according to the Ministry of Energy, in January-May 2020, gas production in Azerbaijan amounted to 16.4 billion cubic meters, an increase of 13.6% compared to the same period last year.
In 2019, natural gas production in the country amounted to 35 billion 591.4 million cubic meters.
