The second offshore platform of phases 22 to 24 of the supergiant South Pars Gas Field is being prepared for installation and pre-startup, Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) said.
According to POGC, Farshad Heidari, head of the offshore section of phase 22-24 development project, said Platform 24A was being prepared for pre-startup.
As he said, installation of the platform’s flare and connecting bridge would finish by the end of next week.
He said 11 wells had been drilled for the platform, adding once drilling of 7 other wells completed, production of gas from the platform of phase 22 would begin.
Heidari added that platform 24A of the project would also be ready for loading by mid-June.
All stages of engineering, construction and execution of this platform were carried out by Iranian companies, and most of the goods and equipment needed for this structure were ordered from and supplied by domestic producers.

Phase 22 to 24 of the supergiant South Pars Gas Field are being developed for production of 56 mcm/d of sour gas, 50 mcm/d of methane, 2,900 tons/day of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), 75,000 b/d of gas condensate and 400 tons/d of sulfur.
Sadra and Petro Sina Arya Oil & Gas Co. (PSA) are developing the phases.
