The Turkish government provided BOTAS with state guarantees to attract foreign borrowings to finance the participation in the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline project (TANAP).
As the official Turkish newspaper Resmi Gazete writes, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, BOTAS can attract foreign investments under state guarantees for the implementation of four projects, including the Tuz Golyu underground storage facility, TANAP, the Northern Marmara gas storage facility and the LNG floating terminal and the re-gasification plant for natural gas.
In the TANAP project, 30% belongs to BOTAS, 51% – to the South Gas Corridor CJSC, 7% – to SOCAR Turkey Energy A.S. (STEAS), a subsidiary of SOCAR, and 12% – to BP.
