In January-July 2023, the Czech Republic imported 1.097 million tons of oil from Azerbaijan (an increase of 18% year-on-year) for 666.7 million euros (a decline of 5.3%).
According to the Statistical Office of the Czech government, in July the country imported 153,149 thousand tons of oil from Azerbaijan (an increase of 8.1% by July 2022) for 83,326 million euros (a decline of 38.3%).
The Czech Republic, in general, purchased 695,599 thousand tons of oil in July (+2.4%), spending for these purposes 364,554 million euros (-24.5%). The three main oil suppliers to the Czech Republic in July included: Russia (426,351 thousand tons for 215,075 million euros), Azerbaijan (153,149 thousand tons for 83,326 million euros) and the United States (116,099 thousand tons for 66,149 million euros).
