Gas exports from Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to 5 billion 883.866 mcm, by 14.7% more than in January-March 2021, the quarterly report of SOCAR.
According to the report, SOCAR directly exported 770.274 mcm of gas to Georgia (an increase of 50.6%).
In the first quarter of 2022, the Azerbaijan Gas Processing Plant (AZGPP) processed 947 million 524.612 thousand cubic meters (a decrease of 17.3%).
According to SOCAR, in the first quarter of 2022, gas consumption in Azerbaijan amounted to 4 billion 759.048 million (an increase of 9.3%).
“The growth in gas consumption was affected by a sharp increase in the production of carbamide and methanol, as well as an increase in the level of gasification in the country to 96.3%,” the company noted.
