Nord Stream delivered 441 bcm of gas to Europe

The volume of natural gas transportation through the Nord Stream gas pipeline in 2021 amounted to 59.2 bcm, reported  the project operator Nord Stream.

“The gas pipeline was loaded at the level of 2020, a historical record since the start of operation. Reliable and efficient supplies via the Nord Stream gas pipeline are carried out in strict accordance with modern industry standards,” the company stressed.

Since the launch of the Nord Stream, more than 441 billion cubic meters have been delivered to Europe through it. m of Russian gas. The construction of the Nord Stream pipeline (the longest underwater pipeline in the world – 1224 km) began in April 2010. In September 2011, filling of the first of two strings with process gas was started. On November 8, 2011, gas supplies began through the first string of the gas pipeline. On April 18, 2012, the second line was completed.

On October 8, 2012, gas supplies began through two lines of the gas pipeline (total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters per year) in a commercial mode.
