Currently, most of the daily export of Azerbaijani gas falls on the European market, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov stated at the ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) held in Doha (Qatar). According to him, European consumers daily receive about 27 mcm of Azerbaijani gas.
The Minister also said that from the moment of commissioning (June 30, 2018 – ed.) until today, 14.8 bcm of Azerbaijani gas have been exported to Turkey through the TANAP pipeline. In addition, since December 31, 2020, 9.4 billion cubic meters of gas have been supplied to European consumers from the Shah Deniz field.
It should be noted that on February 21-22 Doha hosted the 6th summit of heads of state and government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.
