Azerbaijan exported 10 billion 445.63 million cubic meters of gas to Turkey in January-November 2020, which is 20.6% more than the same period in 2019
As noted in the data of the Energy Market Regulation Council of Turkey (EPDK), in November 1 billion 64.39 million cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas were supplied to Turkey, which amounted to 20.66% of the total volume of gas supplies to Turkey (an increase compared to November 2019 by 23.38%).
In November 2020, Azerbaijan retained the second position in terms of gas supplies to Turkey.
In the first place is Russia, which accounted for 47.27% of all supplies, Iran is third (15.34%), and Algeria is fourth (10.47%). Iran improved its position in November compared to October, moving up from the sixth position to the third.
According to EPDK, in March 2020, Azerbaijan took the first position in gas supplies to Turkey and retained its leadership until July, and since August moved to second place.
In general, in November, gas exports to Turkey amounted to 5 billion 153.04 million cubic meters (an increase of 32.1% compared to November 2019). At the same time, the share of pipeline gas accounted for 4 billion 290.61 million cubic meters (83.3% of all supplies, an increase in comparison with November 2019 – by 52.5%), LNG – 862.44 million cubic meters (16.7% of all supplies, a decline of 20.7%).
As reported, in 2019, supplies of Azerbaijani gas to Turkey amounted to 9 billion 584.78 million cubic meters (an increase of 27.3%).
