Oil production in Azerbaijan in January 2019 amounted to 3,337.7 thousand tons, which is 0.8% less than the same period last year.
According to the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in January 2019, including the production of marketable oil amounted to 3,329.9 thousand tons (a decline of 0.8%).
In January 2019, Azerbaijan produced 3 billion 62.1 million cubic meters of gas (an increase of 23.1% compared with January 2018). At the same time, commercial gas production in the reporting month amounted to 1 billion 992.4 million cubic meters (an increase of 26.4%).
The growth of commercial gas production, according to Turan, was achieved through the commissioning of new wells in the framework of the Shah Deniz-2 project.
According to government forecasts, in 2019, oil production in Azerbaijan will be 38 million 496.4 thousand tons, gas – 36 billion 909.2 million cubic meters, including commercial gas – 24 billion 732 million cubic meters. In 2018, oil production in Azerbaijan amounted to 38 million 758 thousand tons, and gas production – 30 billion 592.2 million cubic meters.
