Reservoir Technical Services Advisor – Geoservices
Job Description Summary
This role acts as a regional leader for geological/geomechanical/petrophysical/reservoir engineering interpretation and analysis. This role will manage technical work across one or more disciplines, at various scales from wellbore into field-level, taking responsibility for timely provision of high-quality deliverables, reports and presentations.
Responsibilities, Authorities and Accountabilities
• Provides geological/geomechanical/petrophysical/reservoir engineering interpretation and analysis using appropriate, state-of-the-art techniques to provide Best In Class solutions for the client.
• Mentors junior staff. Trains other technical staff. Leads client reporting meetings. Makes technical presentations to clients. Provides routine client follow-up and product delivery. Provides technical input to client proposals.
• Project manages, peer reviews and participates in single discipline and integrated projects. Writes and presents industry papers and publications.
• Acts as the REGION focal point for development, implementation, or optimization of of a deliverable, service, technology, workflow or process.
• Demonstrates a detailed understanding of the tools, services and deliverables offered by our competitors at a REGION level. Recognized as a REGION level contact to the customer for a product/service or set of products/services.
• Develops and documents new processes or techniques to improve established and/or accepted methodologies
• Act as a REGION focal point for Energy Transition project execution and collaborate with region teams to provide necessary technical solutions
• Supports customer-focused technical events & symposiums.
• Author course content for a specific product/service or set of products/services, with support of the Discipline Content Owner/SME. Certified instructor for relevant internal classes in discipline, and external as applicable
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 6 years of experience in Geoservices or equivalent.
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of discipline topics and ability to speak with clients about discipline applications.
• Demonstrates proficiency in discipline related software
• Working experience in multiple regional petroleum basins/provinces and understand their geological settings and reservoir complexities
