QUALIFICATION and JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Plant Protection Specialist

Qualification

• High school or preferably university degree
• Minimum of 15 years of working experience in oil and gas industry preferably in refining or petrochemical field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the HSE (occupational health, technical safety, process safety, environmental protection) work areas
• Knowledge of international HSE codes/standards (i.e. OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, European Norms)
• Experience in HSE team management
• Technical drawing knowledge and good command of MS Office programs
• Must be flexible to work in two or three shifts
• Ability to effectively work and communicate at all levels

Job Description

• Monitoring HSE Policies and Procedures, paying particular attention to potentially hazardous operations and emphasizing proactive solutions

• Inspecting work areas on a regular basis and assisting employees with HSE issues

• Recording and reporting all accidents, incidents and near miss

• Investigating incidents, injuries/illnesses, fire, property damage, and other related incidents and reporting

• Establishing site emergency response plan, organizing emergency response team, and conducting training and exercise for emergency response

• Conducting HSE inspection and document health, safety and environmental discrepancies and then recommending appropriate corrective actions

• Evaluating the need for personal protective equipment, fire protection equipment, and other related equipment and specifying the equipment to meet those needs
