Position: Workshop Fabrication Manager
Job Descriptions
- Ensure the governance of projects and initiatives in terms of organizational, financial, technological and contractual aspects, assuring the achievement of the established objectives
- Plan, coordinate and control the execution of the project, in accordance with Client requirements, within time and cost constraints and in compliance with HSE and Quality procedures
- Ensure, for the fabrication phase/activities performed both in internal and external yards, the achievement of the established cost, time, quality, health, safety and environment objectives in order to meet the contractual obligations Express Fabrication needs during the E&P phase (e.g., Make or Buy, Constructability, Material Management) identifying optimum balance between time, cost and feasibility
- Represent BOS Shelf towards Clients, Partners and Subcontractors managing also contractual aspects Ensure the proper contract analysis and the review of contractual documents Ensure the implementation of methodologies related to risk and knowledge management in full compliance with Company policy and systems
- Supervise the construction tasks ensuring safety is the number one priority.
- Ensure compliance with Project Execution Plan, Quality Plan, Procurement Plan, Overall Resource Plan, etc.), ensuring the project activity planning matches the project deliverable needs.
- Control of all fabrication works/activities associated with piping, structural steel, pipe and E&I supports, etc. for all offshore oil and Gas type projects.
- Compile assurance reports on progress, safety, quality and cost throughout the project stages.
- Ensure efficient use of manpower resources achieving one or better productivity factor and main discipline within a multinational work force.
- Liaise with main construction team and 3rd party fabricators on all issues relating to safety, progress, schedule, quality and cost.
- Promoting project HSE objectives.
- Participate in the Onshore and Offshore team Risk Management Process
- Participate in task risk assessment meetings.
- Lead company fabrication supervision team and provide guidance in all aspects of the fabrication of structural steelwork / piping for all project, including HSE, Quality, schedule and cost related issues in the Mid / Upper Terrace greenfield area
- Ensure the fabrication effort is being applied in accordance with Project schedule, budgets and Company QMS requirements.
- Monitor Sub Contractor contractor performance and highlight any concerns to the Project manager.
- Liaise with coatings application teams, particularly on paint and passive fire protection works ensuring effective scheduling of all coating works
- Assist in the Construction team Lessons Learned Process
Requirements:
- Understanding of current safety legislation (BS/EN/OSHA).
- Keen awareness of management of behavioural based site safety programmes
- Understanding of all fabrication engineering disciplines, particularly piping and structural steelwork in the onshore Oil and Gas related fields.
- Understanding of main fabrication techniques/codes and standards used within the international Oil and Gas industry (ASME B31.3/31.8, EEMUA 158, BS and EN standards, etc.)
- Minimum: HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering discipline.
- Leading teams of construction/fabrication personnel in a professional manner through all of the main aspects of a project (planning, organization, motivational, control systems)
- Demonstrable experience of controlling large piping/structural steelwork fabrication yards/facilities preferably involving multinational workforce
- Coordinate planning activities on a daily/weekly basis and linking into schedule
- Organizing resources into work groups suitable to oversee the timely completion of the construction activities.
- Coordinating resolution of technical issues and liaising with engineering/quality teams
