Position title: Construction Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for safe, efficient, and effective execution of project scope, in line with project goals and expectations, promote strong HSE performance by the company and Contractor teams
- Locally facilitate the company project controls processes, including Risk Management, Continuous Improvement, and Management of Change
- Track and manage technical risks, drive integrity and reliability through the company
- Lead by providing direction, and support to the project engineering team and promote an effective and collaborative working environment with a ‘One Team’ approach.
- Support the installation engineering team via technical review of T&I and diving procedures, queries, deviations and supporting analysis / documentation in accordance with project specifications, standards, local regulations and legislation
- Track installation readiness of equipment, documentation in-country and closure of actions via established operational readiness processes
- Accountable for timely approval of queries and approval of contractor documents in-country. Managing and tracking scope progress including assessment of Contractor variations, invoice and deliverables
- Participate in the development of the project installation schedule, its interactions with other delivery teams and provide input to the execution strategy
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree (MSc. Civil Engineering or Mechanical) or other suitable academic qualification and extensive experience.
Essential Experience and Job Requirements:
- Installation engineering experience within major installation projects
- Minimum 7 years’ experience of subsea installation and testing processes and application
- Proven capability of contractor management and execution of offshore construction activities
- Ability to intervene in critical situations in order to redirect focus and achieve the required result.
- A high level of proven communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
- Financial and commercial awareness
- Self-motivated
- Computer literate
