Today, the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf, met with the delegation led by the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Azim Akhmedkhajayev, Report informs, citing SOCAR
As noted during the meeting, the visit of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to Uzbekistan in June of this year is of special importance in developing cooperation relations.
It was stated that significant steps had been taken during the past period to implement the decisions and tasks given by the heads of state.
In this regard, the strategic importance of the Roadmap signed between SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz Joint Stock Company in July of this year and the work done in this direction was emphasized. It was noted that during the past period, mutual visits and meetings of the working groups created in connection with the implementation of the provisions of the Roadmap were held.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on potential cooperation opportunities in the oil and gas field, trade in oil and petrochemical products, application of digital and innovative technologies, labour health and safety, exchange of experience, and other issues of mutual interest.
