From the moment of commissioning by 2022, about 156 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced at the Shah Deniz field, bp-Azerbaijan reported. According to the company, by 2022, about 36 million tons of condensate were also extracted from the Shah Deniz field.

It should be noted that at the end of 2021, 23 bcm of gas and 4 million tons of condensate were produced from this field. This year, it is planned to produce 24.5 bcm of gas and more than 5 million tons of condensate from Shah Deniz.

Gas production under the Shah Deniz-1 project started at the end of 2006. Practical gas production from the Shah Deniz-2 project began in early August 2018. The recoverable reserves of the Shah Deniz field amount to 1 trillion. cubic meters. At the beginning of 2030, it is planned to launch the Shah Deniz-3 project.

The contract, signed on June 4, 1996, expired in 2026. In 2013, the contract was extended until 2048. In all likelihood, the term of the contract will be extended once again, since it is unlikely that these volumes will be extracted from the field before 2060.
