The rate of oil consumption until 2024 will grow by 0.7% per year, gas prices will also rise, said Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on the development of energy in Russia.
“According to international experts, including OPEC, starting from 2035, the growth rate of oil demand will begin to slow down, but in general, until 2045, consumption will increase – by about 0.7% annually,” Putin said.
The demand for natural gas will continue to grow at a higher rate – over 1% per year, the President of the Russian Federation emphasized. It is already necessary to comprehensively analyze the impact of potential changes in the energy sector on the Russian economy, he added.
