In June, the oil exports through the terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) increased by 18.8% compared to the same period last year, and compared with May of this year – decreased by 2.4%, to 5.074 million tons, follows from the message of the company.
“In June 2021, 5,073,782 gross tons (41,198,084 barrels) were shipped at the CPC Marine Terminal (MT). In the specified month, MT handled 50 tankers, thus, in the first six months of this year, 290 ships were dispatched in Yuzhnaya Ozereevka,”the message says. In June 2020, 4.272 million tons of oil were shipped through the system, in May 2021 – 5.197 million tons.
In total, Kazakhstani shippers shipped 3.577 million tons of oil in June, another 695 552 tons of shipped oil came from the territory of Russia. The shipping schedule for June has been fully completed. Of the total volume of June shipments, 1.777 million tons of oil – from the Tengiz field, 794 668 tons – from the Karachaganak field and 972 754 tons – from the Kashagan field, as well as 32 342 tons of oil from other Kazakhstani producers.
The CPC oil pipeline system is the largest oil transportation route from the Caspian region to world markets. The main pipeline with a length of 1.5 thousand kilometers connects the fields of Western Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea with the Russian coast of the Black Sea. Among the largest shareholders of the company are Russia, Kazakhstan, and Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
