The order of the Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan, providing for the establishment of a zero coefficient for calculating the utilization payment for electric vehicles, electric buses and electric trucks, will enter into force on June 4.
Now, when importing to the territory of Kazakhstan or in the production of electric vehicles, electric buses or electric trucks, the utilization payment for the vehicle will not be required.
Earlier, the utilization payment for a car with an electric engine of category M1 was 437,550 tenge, for categories M2, M3 1,166,800 tenge. For freight vehicles, the size of the scrappage payment started from 1 020 950 tenge.
According to the Association of Automotive Business of Kazakhstan, 422 electric vehicles are registered in the country today.
Currently, within the framework of the project for the development of the infrastructure of electric filling stations, the installation of 103 high-speed electric filling stations in Nur-Sultan and Almaty, as well as on the Nur-Sultan-Borovoe highway has been completed.
