Export of Azerbaijani gas from the Shah Deniz field in January-February 2021 amounted to 2 billion 992.8 million cubic meters.
This is 47.2% higher than the indicator of the same period last year, reports the State Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The growth in the export of Azerbaijani gas is associated with the start of supplies to Europe starting from December 31, 2020.
At present, Azerbaijan’s gas is imported to Europe by Greece, Bulgaria and Italy.
Currently, gas production from the Shah Deniz field is carried out from the Alpha platform as part of the Stage-1 project and from the Bravo platform as part of the Stage-2 project.
