BP and partners produced 18.1 billion cubic meters of gas from the Shah Deniz field in 2020, which is 7.7% more than in 2019

“In 2020, 3.6 million tons of condensate (or 29 million barrels) were also produced from the Shah Deniz field, which is 2.8% more than in 2019. At present, the production capacity of the field is 56 million cubic meters per day, or over 20 billion cubic meters per year,” the company said.
The costs of the Shah Deniz consortium in 2020 as part of the development of this field amounted to $ 1 billion 942 million, which is 18.1% more than in 2019. “In 2020, operating costs for the project amounted to $ 1 billion, capital expenditures – $ 942 million. The bulk of capital expenditures fell on work within the framework of Stage-2 of the Shah Deniz field development,” the company noted.
The participants of the Shah Deniz project are: BP (operator, 28.8%), Petronas (15.5%), SOCAR (16.7%), LUKOIL (10%), NICO (10%), and TPAO (19%).
