“Naftoqaz Ukrainı” delegation headed by Mr. Sergey Fedorenko, commercial manager paid visit to SOCAR AQS.
In course of the meeting, Ukrainian delegation got to know about the ongoing drilling projects, gains and personal development status, but also watched the presentations prepared by SOCAR AQS.
Besides, the guests were given extensive information on the number of actual drilling projects, including details on the well #16 drilled at the previously unprecedented depth of 6,810 m in a complicated geologic structure from “Umid-1” offshore platform by SOCAR. “Naftoqaz Ukrainı” specialists paid unfeigned interest in the technical solutions first pioneered at the well #16.
During the meeting, the Sides exchanged their opinions on more advantageous terms of adherence to the partnership principles in actual and upcoming projects.
During the visit, “Naftoqaz Ukrainı” delegation was blessed with opportunities to pay a visit to SOCAR AQS Drilling School as well as operational sites of the company.
The Ukrainian counterparts were deeply impressed by activities of the Drilling School and the unique vocational training courses by this School of SOCAR AQS, the first ever domestic company of Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea area accredited by International Well Control Forum (IWCF) on the 2nd,3rd and 4th levels of Drilling Well Control Programme and the 3rd and 4th levels of Well Intervention Pressure Control Programme.
During the visit to the Drilling School, the Parties discussed the opportunities of future cooperation and experience exchange followed by sharing their insights on industrial expertise and know how.
Having extended his profound gratitude to the management of SOCAR AQS for the sincere reception and having noted the numerous opportunities for cooperation in energy area between two countries, Mr. Sergey Fedorenko specifically highlighted the clear interest of the company he is proud to represent in implementation of joint projects with SOCAR AQS.
SOCAR AQS LLC was established as an integrated drilling and well services management company between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic and Absheron Drilling Company in 2007.
Main scope of activities of the company is provision of work and services related with drilling of oil and gas wells, including: well design and planning; drilling of oil and gas wells; drilling of directionally deviated wells; drilling of horizontal wells; well completion; well workover; sidetracking and drilling of multilateral wells.
