Baku Drilling School unites leading oil and gas companies and educational institutions to train specialists who meet the most modern requirements.
It should be noted that the Baku Drilling School, the most advanced Drilling Training Center in the Caspian Basin region, has opened in Baku today. Baku Drilling School, with international experts and the most innovative drilling rig simulators, will play an important role in training professional personnel for drilling operations in the region.
Baku Drilling School, which offers more than 40 training programs in various fields of the oil and gas industry, is the first Training Center accredited by such reputable institutions as the International Well Control Forum (IWCF), the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and the Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO).
The innovative material and technical base created at the Baku Drilling School will play an invaluable role in the training of modern specialists and will make a significant contribution to combining the theoretical and practical knowledge of young specialists.
Thus, Endeavor XI Platinum, the world’s newest multi-functional simulator, was installed in the Drilling Training Center. The Endeavor XI Platinum dynamic simulator, pre-determining the geophysical and geological features of earth layers, provides a prediction of the difficulties and risks that may arise during drilling and this gives specialists a unique opportunity to prevent these difficulties. Training participants can visualize and control any drilling rigs and wells using the capabilities of the simulator using the 3D of the GeoCube model. The experience gained helps young professionals successfully cope with tasks in real-life drilling, both professionally and psychologically.
SOCAR AQS General Director Ramin Isaev stated: “By creating the Baku Drilling School, SOCAR AQS contributes to the training of qualified personnel in the region’s oil and gas industry. With the latest simulators and professional instructors, we support the creation of competitive companies in the region. I hope that Baku Drilling School will soon take its rightful place among other training centers and will contribute to the recognition of the leading role of Azerbaijani drillers in the world! ”
Nariman Mustafayev, director of Baku Drilling School LLC, vice president of the IWCF European branch, said: “I am proud to open the most modern Training Center in Baku.
