SOCAR AQS Sponsored and Participated in the Career Fair within Career Week event at ADA University
February 27 – March 1, 2019 – SOCAR AQS sponsored the career week organized at ADA University and participated in a two-days career fair within the scope of the event.
The career week that took place in the university campus aimed at providing a favorable environment for students to get prepared for landing a career opportunity. Thus, various trainings and workshops were conducted during the event to advise students on how to write a professional resume and how to prepare for a successful job interview.
In parallel with the event, the last two days of the career week included a career fair that brought together a number of renowned local and international companies in oil & gas, telecommunications, banking, and other sectors of the economy. The event gathered hundreds of students and alumni from various educational backgrounds to interact with potential employers and explore career opportunities with them.
SOCAR AQS was one of the participating companies in the career fair. Considering the long-established academic cooperation between the company and the university, and the number of alumni being employed at the company, SOCAR AQS supported the event by becoming the general sponsor of the career week.
In the opening ceremony of the career fair, the vice-rector of ADA University, Fariz Ismailzade welcomed all the exhibitors: “We thank you all for accepting our invitation to participate in the career fair and the attention you devote to our students. Our alumni have high rates of employment due to the trust you put on them. We are grateful for that”.
The sponsors of the event were awarded a plate honoring their generous support of the event.
Chief Organizational Development Officer of SOCAR AQS, Medina Pashayeva received the award on behalf of the company and expressed her gratitude: “We thank everyone involved in the organization of this event. ADA University is responsible for producing a new generation of highly-demanded young professionals and we are proud to say that SOCAR AQS already employs 16 alumni of the university.”
During the career fair, the company representatives interacted with hundreds of attendees and informed them about the existing vacancies and the summer internship program at the company. The students also obtained extensive information on internship opportunities for the first- and second-year students and the graduate trainee program at SOCAR AQS. The company representatives also informed the audience on benefits that the internship program offer to them.
It is worth mentioning that SOCAR AQS and ADA University have strong collaborative ties. The General Director of the company, Ramin Isayev is a member of the Advisory Board of ADA School of Business.
SOCAR AQS plans to continue its cooperation with local universities, research centers and industry associations and offers a variety of opportunities for students and fresh graduates.
