Ukraine pumped more than 16 bcm of gas into underground storage facilities, which is enough for the upcoming heating season. This was reported by the company Ukrtransgaz on October 6.
“16.332 bcm of gas was pumped into underground gas storages as of October 4. 18.63 mcm of gas a day was pumped and 0.01 mcm a day was taken,” the company said. According to the company, Ukrainian gas storages are 52% full.
Yuri Vitrenko, CEO of Naftogaz Ukrainy, said on September 25 the 16 bcm of natural gas accumulated in the Ukrainian underground storage facilities is enough for comfortable passage of the new heating season. Vitrenko also suggested that this amount of gas could be enough so that at the end of the winter period a “substantial reserve” of the resource would be formed.
