The gas-chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in the Kyyanly settlement of the Balkan region of Turkmenistan, which is operating in the test mode, sold its first products.
The specialists of the enterprise together with the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) worked out the test deliveries project within two months. As a result, companies from the CIS on the terms of self-export purchased about 500 tons of goods produced at the complex.
The new gas chemical complex should increase the production of polypropylene in Turkmenistan by 81 thousand tons per year, as a result of which within 12 months the country will produce about 170 thousand tons of polypropylene. With such a high production growth, it is necessary to think over the pricing of the future production of the plant in Kiyanly, to study the supply and demand in the world market, to think through the questions with logistics and much more. Today, the test implementation of the complex’s products is aimed at the solution of these problems, experts of the SCRMET say.
