Carbamide plant is to be opened in Garabogaz city of Balkan Velayat. The project ordered by the State Concern Turkmenhimiya is carried out by the consortium of Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) and Gap Inşaat (Turkey).
According to the management of the facility, Mitsubishi Corporation has already installed technology and auxiliary equipment for industrial processing of natural gas into ammonia and carbamide and at present time carries out the commissioning of technology line.
Representatives of Danish Haldor Topsoe AS Company as well as specialists of American, Italian and Dutch companies take part in preparation of the launch of the facility. The equipment and technologies of these companies will allow organizing deep processing of natural gas and will provide the production meeting international quality standards. 3500 tons of carbamide per day, which makes 1,155,000 tons of product per year, will be produced at the facility.
Specialists of the Consortium launched air supply system for the instrument and analyser system and nitrogen unit that is used in technological process. Gas turbine generator, desalination unit and boiler are ready for work; purging of the steam line, test of high-pressure pipeline and other communications are carried out. Gap Inşaat Company that did all construction works completes all territory planning works. 500 working places will be created at the facility.
Training of qualified personnel was organized for successful mastering of advanced technologies in Garabogaz branch of Turkmenabat Technical Profession School of the State Concern Turkmenhimiya. Around 300 people received necessary training. All young specialists are employed to work in new facility.
Annual production of nitrogen fertilizers made in the country will exceed 2 million tons after opening of new plant. One third of this product will be supplied for internal market while the rest will go for export. At present time, the construction of the berth is under completion in Garabogaz.
