Gazprom and Naftogaz of Ukraine last week held negotiations on the termination of contracts for the supply and transit of gas.
The Russian concern also notified Naftogaz that it will challenge the decision of the Stockholm Arbitration on transit, the deputy chairman of Gazprom’s Board, Alexander Medvedev, told reporters.
“Yes, indeed, last week the meeting between Gazprom and Naftogaz of Ukraine was held and the negotiation process within the procedure for the termination of contracts for the supply and transit of gas began,” Medvedev said, responding to a question about the negotiations between Gazprom and Naftogaz on the termination of their contracts.
“In addition, Gazprom once again notified Naftogaz that it will challenge the decision of the Stockholm arbitration on the transit contract – an appeal on this case will be filed before the end of March,” Medvedev said.
