In July, Moldova will buy gas from Russia at a price of $980 per thousand cubic meters, i.e., prices will increase by more than 11% compared to the current month, said the head of “Moldovagaz”, Vadim Cheban.
“According to preliminary calculations, the July purchase price of natural gas supplied to the Republic of Moldova under the terms of the contract with PJSC Gazprom will amount to USD 980 per thousand cubic meters for JSC Moldovagaz,” he wrote on Telegram.
“Chisinau” is now buying a thousand cubic meters of Russian fuel for $880. As a result of lengthy negotiations between “Gazprom” and “Moldovagaz” in the end of October, it was decided to extend the gas contract for another five years, starting from November 1.
“Gazprom” said that the deal was signed almost entirely on the terms of the Moldovan side, but with the condition of full and timely payment of current payments.
