SOCAR is turning into one of the largest exporters of fuel oil from the Baltic ports to the world markets.
According to Petroleum Argus, in January SOCAR shipped more than 320 thousand tons of fuel oil from the Baltic ports.
SOCAR buys products from the Belarusian state oil company BNK, and then exports them from the Latvian Ventspils and Lithuanian Klaipeda. In January SOCAR shipped 120 thousand tons of fuel oil from Ventspils and more than 200 thousand tons from Klaipeda.
Thus, the Azerbaijani company is turning into one of the largest exporters of fuel oil from the Baltics.
SOCAR entered the Baltic market of petroleum products in November 2017.
