Kazakhstan produced 72.9 million tons of crude oil and 13.3 million tons of condensate in 2017. The Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev said this at a briefing in the press center of the Kazakh government.
At the same time, the volume of exported oil amounted to about 70 million tons.
Almost 15 million tons of oil was processed at three refineries in Kazakhstan. The modernization project at the Pavlodar petrochemical plant was completed, the construction work was completed within the framework of the Atyrau Refinery Modernization Project, and currently the refinery is undergoing commissioning.
The volume of gas production in Kazakhstan last year amounted to about 53 bcm (growth of 10%). As a result of 2017, the level of gasification in Kazakhstan was 47.38%. This year, 16 projects will be implemented, which will result in a gasification level exceeding 48%.
In 2017, Kazakhstan also produced 102.3 billion kW / h of electricity and 106.7 million tons of coal.
