On December 14, 2017 in capital hotel “Archabil” the regular meeting of the Turkmen-American Business council took place.
The meeting within approaches to implementation of potential of bilateral cooperation and development of trade and economic relations, business contacts and scientific and technical partnership were defined.
Representatives of the Turkmen-American Business council and the leading American companies as “Westport Trading Europe”, “Elizarov Consulting Group”, “Oxbow Sulphur”, General Electric, John Deere, “Nicklaus Design”, “Boeing”, “Coca cola”, “FedEx” institute of Memphis University and others took part in work of the meeting. From the Turkmen side heads and specialists of the industry ministries and departments, bank and scientific institutions, administration of Ashgabat, Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the forum.
Work of Business council took place in three parts: the first panel discussion was devoted to modern conditions of development of fuel and energy complex and also questions of cooperation in the transport sphere. During the second discussion results of researches in agro-industrial complex and questions of application of advanced technologies in the food industry of Turkmenistan were considered. The third section was devoted to questions of education and development of the tourist industry.
Participants of the meeting noted the importance of similar business meetings which became the effective mechanism promotion of trade economic cooperation, joint projects, intensifications of productive communications in different areas and also activation of investing processes.
Businessmen of the USA held also a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, including in the area of the fuel and energy sector, the agricultural industry on which special attention was paid to questions of implementation of the hi-tech joint projects aimed at further expansion and deepening of mutually beneficial Turkmen-American cooperation.
During the meeting the high interest of the leading American companies in comprehensive deepening of cooperation with Turkmenistan was underlined.
