Gazprom on January 6 set the second historical record since the beginning of 2017, exporting 615.5 mcm of gas per day. The previous record was on January 5 – 614.6 mcm, reported the information department of PJSC Gazprom.
“We have achieved a definitely new level of gas supplies for export in the conditions of cooling, reducing the production volumes in Europe and the growth in gas demand in the energy market,” the company’s press service cited the Chairman of PJSC Gazprom Alexei Miller.
The company also said that in the conditions of increased demand for gas in Europe, Gazprom for three consecutive days recorded a new record volume of gas supplies by Nord Stream – on 4, 5 and 6 January, starting at 165.2 mcm per day.
“Currently, the volume of downloads in Nord Stream in the annual terms is 10% higher than the projected volume of the gas pipeline. For decades the pipeline will surely provide Russian gas to Europe. Nord Stream 2 will have the same advantages,” Miller said.
