Russia increased the supply of oil to Turkey by 27% in the first seven months of 2016 as compared to the same period last year. The index exceeded 1 million tons, the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.
“We see a positive trend. Now, for the first seven months, the volume of oil supplies from Russia increased by 27% and exceeded one million tons,” said Novak.
He stressed that the Turkish economy is growing and consuming more and more energy, while Russia can supply not only oil, but also oil products.
Novak added that Russia is interested not only in the energy supply, but also in the creation of energy processing enterprises, which will create more jobs and increase tax revenues.
