Gazprom retains the forecast of gas exports to Europe for 2016 in the amount slightly above 165 bcm and the average export price of $167-171 per 1,000 cubic meters. This was stated in a teleconference by the Deputy Head of the Gazprom Export Department, Mikhail Malghin.
‘In 2016 the volume (exports) will be slightly higher than 165 bcm. The end point will be put by the weather,’ he said.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Board of the Russian gas holding company, Alexei Miller, said the export by Gazprom to Europe could exceed 170 bcm by the end of 2016.
As a result of 2015, Gazprom increased its gas exports to non-CIS countries by 8% compared with the previous year – up to 159.4 bcm.
