In March 2016 Gazprom exported 14.8 bcm of gas to Western Europe and Turkey, up 9% (1.2 bcm) against March 2015. The previous record was set in March 2011 (14,893 bcm).
In quarter 1, 2016 Gazprom exported 44.05 bcm of gas abroad, up 28% against quarter 1, 2015.
Meanwhile, by March 30, 2016 resources of active gas in the European underground storages totaled 31,676 bcm against 24,272 bcm by March 30, 2015.
“From January 1 to March 15, 2016 UK had the highest demand in Russian gas: 245.9% against the same period last year. The deliveries increased by 3.2 bcm, which is over one third of total volume of growth of Gazprom’s deliveries to Far Abroad,” Gazprom President Aleksei Miller said.
Last year Germany set a record of Russian gas import – 43.5 bcm, up 6 bcm against 2014.
In 2015 Gazprom reduced gas production by 6% to 417.2 bcm. The deliveries to the local market decreased by 8%. Last year gas export increased by 5% to 182.9 bcm. 142.4 bcm of gas (+12.8%) was supplied to the Far Abroad countries, reported vestifinance.ru.
